Want to improve your footprint on the environment this holiday season? A hands-on presentation that challenges consumers to create a more sustainable holiday will be at the Lake Tahoe Community College bookstore, 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 12. (CANCELLED)
This interactive presentation will cover a variety of topics related to how to, and why we can make a positive impact on our local communities. This event will cover definitions related to sustainability, how conventional consumerism impacts people, economies and communities, how to “Green” our holidays, travel, resourcing and more.
Topics covered include, but are not limited to:

— state of the planet/human impact
— green holidays: scope of sustainability
— green holiday products and practices
— benefits of shopping sustainably
— green travel
