DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nev. – At 6:45 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, the Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) responded to a single-vehicle crash in Genoa.
The driver of a silver SUV struck the front of Trimmer Outpost, a store in the historic town. Authorities say the driver did not follow the curve of the road and instead ended up driving through the store’s parking lot, hitting the building.
NHP says the driver was transported to a Reno hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Trimmer Outpost was scheduled to be closing for store sales in January.
No other information is available at this time.
