A bird getting in a NV Energy substation knocks out power to 2400 in Lake Tahoe

2:00PM Update: Power has been restored the NV Energy customers at Lake Tahoe.

1:30PM Update: Crews are still working on the equipment which caused a power outage to NV Energy customers on the Nevada side of the South Shore. They have updated their expected time of restoration to 3:00 p.m.

STATELINE, Nev. – Just after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, the power went out to 2439 customers of NV Energy in the Kingsbury Grade/Stateline area.

At this time the cause is listed as equipment failure and the estimated time of restoral is 1:00 p.m.
