
Geotours of the Lake Tahoe basin will highlight environmentally friendly activities during the Tahoe Geotourism Expo held September 7 – 8, 2013. Participants can 17 different tours including an Upper Truckee River kayak tour, an Al Tahoe Heritage Walk, a Tahoe Photo Tour and Wild Mustangs in the Meadow. Saturday, September 7
Birds of the Wetland -Free 3 hour guided tour of the Upper Truckee marsh.
Flyfishing Fun – Learn how to flyfish. $20 includes lessons from the experts and rod rental.
Wonder of Waste Walk – $20 for a guided tour: Follow the water through a unique waste filtration system to an Alpine marsh of wildlife and wonder.
SUP Water Yoga in South Lake Tahoe – $35 includes 2 hours of paddle, Yoga and guided meditation including stand up paddle board rental.
Al Tahoe Heritage Hike – Free guided walks of historic Al Tahoe neighborhood. Visit the 1800’s cemetery and learn about the original town of Rowlands and who “Al” was.
Sand Harbor Sun Salutation – $40 includes 2 hours of Paddleboard Yoga, including rental and meditation.
Tahoe Photo Tour – Learn how to take pictures of beautiful Lake Tahoe in 3.5 hour tour. $68 includes instruction and boat ride.
Lake Tahoe in Depth – Free 1 hour event includes 3D movie and guided interactive learning.
West Shore Transit Trac – Designed to move you via bus, bike, hike and boat along the West Shore while weaving through time, culture and heritage. $40 with bike rental, $25 if you bring your own.

Tree Top Adventure – Travel through tree top adventure park 15-50 ft in the air. 2.5 hours: $35 over age 13, $25 under.
Catch and Release – Learn the art of catch and release on a private Squaw Valley pond. $140 includes instruction and equipment.
Independence Lake Kayak – $35 includes – 1 hr of kayaking and guided hike of the importance of this ecosystem.
SUP Yoga, Bike and Lunch – Bike to beach, paddle board trip, bike back and enjoy lunch. 65 includes: bike rental, paddle rental, S.U.P. Yoga session, special lunch.
Trail Yoga at Spooner Lake – Enjoy Yoga as you hike around the lake. $15.
Mustangs in the Meadows – An exceptional opportunity to witness Nevada’s famous wild Mustangs move through the meadows. $35 includes 3.5 guided heritage hike, shuttle and meeting mustangs.
Green Home – Grow Dome – See how a local resident, Scott Terrell on an average family budget, transformed a house built in 1979 into a model for moving toward fossil free living. $35 includes 5 hr guided tour, lunch, transit.
