SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue is hosting a movie premier event at Lake Tahoe Community College on Friday, June 7 at 5:30 p.m. in the Duket Theatre.
The documentary Wilder than Wild was four years in the making and reveals how fire suppression and climate change have exposed our forests and wildland-urban landscapes to large, high-intensity wildfires – and explores strategies to mitigate the impact of these fires.
Following the movie will be a panel discussion with questions and answers on wildfire-related topics.
To start the event, enjoy appetizers from Cold Water Brewery. The event is free but a $5 donation is suggested, though not required.
There is also a chance to win gift cards and prize basket door prizes.
