Slight chance for a hiccup in an otherwise mild Thanksgiving week at Lake Tahoe

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Quiescent weather through Wednesday at Lake Tahoe promotes favorable pre-Thanksgiving travel before another system brings low-end chances for showers Thursday morning and cooler temperatures.
This system exits the region late Thanksgiving Day and will leave our region sandwiched between a downstream trough over the central-eastern US and an area of high pressure in the Gulf of Alaska, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Reno. This will keep a dry pattern with temperatures steadily 5-10 degrees below average through the remainder of the holiday weekend
The weekly forecast for South Lake Tahoe from NWS Reno:
Monday - Sunny, with a high near 48. Northeast wind around 10 mph.
Monday Night - Mostly clear, with a low of around 20. Southeast wind around 5 mph.
Tuesday - Partly sunny, with a high near 54. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
Tuesday Night - Mostly cloudy, with a low of around 22. Southwest wind around 5 mph.
Wednesday - Mostly sunny, with a high near 58. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
Wednesday Night - A slight chance of rain before 1 am, then a slight chance of rain and snow between 1 am and 4 am, then a slight chance of snow after 4 am. Snow level 7900 feet lowering to 7000 feet after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26. The chance of precipitation is 20%.
Thanksgiving Day - A slight chance of rain after 10 am. Snow level 6300 feet. Mostly sunny, with a high near 53.
