SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Lower Lakeside Park near Stateline will be closed to non-permitted and non-emergency vehicles on the 4th of July from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. in order to keep people walking in the area safe from high volumes of holiday traffic.
The popular private beach near the firework barges is accessible by Lakeside Park Association members and pass holders (may enter at 8:00 a.m.). Passes are available for purchase for $20 for the day (may enter at 9:00 a.m.). These passes do not allow parking and are for beach access only.
