SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The first taste of winter blew through the Lake Tahoe Basin Monday, and there will be another taste of Sierra snow and valley rain late Wednesday and into Thursday. Another system moves in Friday with chances for more rain and snow through Saturday.

If driving through the Sierra this week, expect slick roads, especially over the passes.

At this time, next week looks to be clear with slightly warmer highs.
