SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Celebrate the holiday season with Breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Fire + Ice in Heavenly Village! This beloved family tradition features a delicious breakfast, holiday cheer, and Santa and Mrs. Claus on December 7, 14, and 21.

Indulge in a hearty breakfast that includes pancakes, bacon, sausage, potatoes, and more—all grilled fresh right in front of your eyes. Guests can choose from two seating times, 8 a.m. or 10 a.m.

Kirkwood parking open house to explain the 2024/25 plans

Kirkwood will be implementing a new parking system this winter so they will be holding a Community Parking Open House on Saturday, December 7 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the the Kirkwood Village. They open for the 2024/25 season on December 6.

South Tahoe High Track Team invites community to annual Santa Run

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Just in time to work off the extra calories after Thanksgiving so you can add more during Christmas, the South Tahoe High Track Team is holding its annual Santa Run on Saturday, December 7 at 11 a.m. at the South Tahoe Middle School track.

This fundraising event is a fun and joyous one, meant to spread holiday cheer and bring the community together in a festive celebration of giving.

Annual Carson Valley Parade of Lights route and road closure information

December 7, 2024 - 5:00pm

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Nev. - The Carson Valley Parade of Lights is scheduled to illuminate the streets of Douglas County on Saturday, December 7. The road will be closed at approximately 4:30 p.m. and the parade starts at 5 p.m.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office has these reminders for a great parade experience:

Parade floats will begin at Heritage Park onto Main Street from Eddy Street and head north through town, left on Esmeralda, and to the end at Minden Town Park.

Main Street will be closed to traffic from Waterloo to 6th from around 4:30 p.m. until approximately 7 p.m.

Advent Adventure for kids at Lake Tahoe Presbyterian Church

December 8, 2024 - 2:00pm

The Lake Tahoe Community Presbyterian Church is hosting its 4th annual Advent Adventure Christmas Party for kids. Join them for this free community event - all children in grades TK through 6th are invited. Participants will play games, learn about the first Christmas, build crafts, have snacks, sing, and decorate cookies.

Parents are free to drop off their children or stay for the event. Children ages 3-4 are welcome but the parents will need to accompany them.

The party starts at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 8. Please plan to pick up your children at 4:30 p.m.

"You’ll Never Escape the Fruitcake” at Brewery Arts Center

CARSON CITY, Nev. - Join local historians David & Gayle Woodruff, as they present "You’ll Never Escape the Fruitcake" in the Brewery Arts Center Grand Ballroom in Carson City on Tuesday, December 10 at 6 p.m.

The Woodruffs will take a humorous look at the history of some of our favorite holiday traditions, including the much-maligned and seldom-praised Fruitcake - and celebrate a few special recollections and anecdotes of Christmas Past.

Vodka and Latkes - a community FUNdraiser

Celebrate Hanukkah and the holiday season at Temple Bat Yam's 6th annual Vodka & Latkes fundraiser on Wednesday, December 11 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Mark your calendars and plan to join in on a great evening and sample Tahoe Blue Vodka cocktails and a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, latkes, appetizers, and other small bites. Don't forget to save room for dessert! Dreidel spinning and raffle prizes to win will be part of the festive celebration of Hanukkah.

Boys & Girls Club fundraisers: Paint and Sip Ornaments and Candles, Napa Valley Raffle

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe is holding three fun holiday fundraisers - Paint and Sip Holiday ornament making, Make and Sip Holiday Candle Making, and a Napa Raffle!
