From the Mind of Dr. Charles Goldman: Adventures in Limnology and more next up for TERC

On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, UC Davis TERC (Tahoe Environmental Research Center) proudly hosts a lecture featuring world-renowned limnologist and UC Davis Distinguished Professor Emeritus Dr. Charles Goldman. The local Tahoe hero, known for his world-class research and story-telling skills will regale you with his lively Science Stories and Research Adventures. The in-person event will be held at the Tahoe Science Center in Incline Village, Nev.

Community invited to celebration of Momentum PBS premier

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The South Tahoe Association of Realtors welcomes the community to a celebration of Momentum Film on PBS and Momentum Mentors on June 11 at 5:30 p.m. The movie made by and about South Lake Tahoe locals premiers on PBS, and join in the fun!

There will be food, drinks, and a silent auction, with all proceeds going to bring Momentum Mentors to more schools in our community and beyond!

Tipsy Putt celebrates 3rd anniversary in South Lake Tahoe with new name, discounts, and "par-tee"

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Tipsy Putt celebrates three years in South Lake Tahoe with a new name, a new local discount, and a weekend celebration. The popular mini-golf bar and restaurant in the Stateline area recently changed its name from Flatstick Pub to Tipsy Putt.

Tipsy Putt is a hyper-local mini golf experience featuring craft beer and casual Mexican fare. Designed with adults in mind, Tipsy Putt welcomes all ages until the evening hours. In addition to interactive games, the pub caters to team-building events, birthday parties, or friendly gatherings.

Reproductive Care is a Family Affair

In eleven cities across congressional district 3, voters will rally for reproductive rights between June 14 and 21 in honor of Father’s Day. The theme of the rallies is “Reproductive Care is a Family Affair”. Congressman Kevin Kiley has a long history of opposing reproductive freedom the protests will highlight this fact.

Washoe Meadows Clean Up

The Tahoe Area Sierra Club will be hosting a clean up at Washoe Meadows State Park on June 15, 2024 starting at 9:00 am till 11:00 am. The trails around Washoe Meadows State Park are relatively flat. We ask those joining us to come prepared due to there being no facilities in the area so be prepared with snacks, water, and sunscreen. We’d like to thank Clean Tahoe for supporting this event and supplying us with clean up equipment.

Guided tours offered of Al Tahoe Pioneer Cemetery

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - With the sold-out walking tour of the Al Tahoe Pioneer Cemetery in May, a second one has been added, so no more FOMO (fear of missing out).

On Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 1 p.m., the guided tour of the historic cemetery on Alameda Avenue will take place. Space is limited and reservations are required.

The cost per person is $5. To reserve a spot, stop by the museum during open hours - Thursday-Saturday 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to sign up and pay, or call 530-541-5458. The Lake Tahoe Historical Museum is located at 3058 Lake Tahoe Blvd.
