MISERY, a play based on the novel by Stephen King

Black Ice Theatre Co. and Carson Valley Community Theatre (CVCT) are joining together to present “Misery” a play based on the novel by Stephen King. Black Ice Theatre Co. is based in South Lake Tahoe, and was founded in order to engage audiences through fresh and daring plays that explore themes that are both vital to the modern moment and timeless representations of the human experience. “Misery” will be a departure from the CVCT regular productions, and create a new “Immersive” experience to the audience.

Free workshop for residents to learn about 2025 Medicare plan choices in El Dorado County

(PLACERVILLE, CA) - A free, one-hour virtual workshop to help Medicare recipients understand drug plans and Medicare Advantage plans available in El Dorado County in 2025 is scheduled for Friday, October 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The workshop is open to the public and will be held via Zoom and there will be help sessions at all county libraries.

A one-hour question-and-answer period will follow the workshop. The workshop is presented by the El Dorado County Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP).

Congressional Candidate Jessica Morse to stop by Cuppa Tahoe Friday

The Democrat is seeking the seat for District 3 which runs along the Sierra from Redding to Death Valley, including South Lake Tahoe. She is scheduled to be there from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The South Tahoe Parks Foundation is partnering with the Tahoe Knight Monsters for a special community night on Friday, October 25. This is the Knight Monsters home opener weekend! The puck drop is at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets purchased through a special link will send a portion of proceeds directly to the Foundation, which will use the money to furnish the new South Lake Tahoe Recreation and Aquatics Center.

South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue hosts annual Pancake Breakfast

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue (SLTFR) is holding an Open House and Pancake Breakfast at Fire Station 2 on Saturday, October 26 from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

The station is located at 2951 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe.

This family-friendly event allows the community to meet SLTFR firefighters, learn about fire safety including the importance of smoke alarms, and enjoy pancakes!
