SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Get ready for a wild time as the Tahoe Institute for Natural Science (TINS), Great Basin Institute (GBI), and the USDA Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit (LTBMU) host Wild Tahoe Weekend! Join them June 29-30, 2024, at Taylor Creek Visitor Center, just three miles northwest of the City of South Lake Tahoe on Highway 89. Residents and visitors are invited to attend this free family-friendly and fun event!

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Lake Tahoe Historical Society is bringing back its popular summer speaker series, Tahoe History Talks on the Beach, on Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. starting June 25.

The free talks are held at Lakeview Commons on the west side steps. Lakeview Commons is located at the corner of US50 and Lakeview Ave. There is plenty of free parking.

The City is excited to share two new activities to go along with the 4th of July Parade: an aerial showcase and an airshow over Lake Tahoe. These thrilling events are sure to bring excitement and entertainment to our 4th of July celebration.

11th Annual Keep Tahoe Red, White and Blue Beach Cleanup

July 5, 2024 - 8:00am

After Tahoe’s celebrated July 4th festivities, our beaches and surrounding areas can become covered with trash, endangering wildlife and the Lake’s clarity. Each year on July 5th, Tahoe residents and visitors turn out for the largest cleanup of the year to remove litter from Lake Tahoe’s shores. You can help Keep Tahoe Blue by volunteering at a beach cleanup sites around the Lake!

Rotary Club of South Lake Tahoe holds Crawfish Festival

Join the Rotary Club of South Lake Tahoe on July 6, 2024, for a memorable summer event at the stunning Grand Lawn at Valhalla Tahoe with a Crawdad Festival from the pristine water of Lake Tahoe. The Toulouse Restaurant will be preparing the Louisiana-style crawdad boil.

Beer and wine will be served at the event as well. Join them for an unforgettable experience.
