The famed Dat So La Lee Basket collection moves from the Gatekeeper’s Museum to the Autry Museum in Los Angeles later this month. North Lake Tahoe is sending the indigenous artwork off with great fanfare at the next North Lake Tahoe Chamber/CVB/Resort Association Mixer Thursday, April 19.
The mixer, held seven years to the day after these remarkable baskets first came to Tahoe City, will be hosted at the Gatekeeper’s Museum, 5-7 p.m., 130 West Lake Boulevard in Tahoe City, California, which is located near Fanny Bridge.
This event is a great opportunity to mix and mingle while getting a last look at Dat So La Lee’s artistry, including two small baskets viewed through a magnifying glass.
This event is free and open to the public. For more information about the mixer, call Kym Fabel of the North Lake Tahoe Chamber/CVB/Resort Association at 530-581-8764 or kym@puretahoenorth.com.
The North Lake Tahoe Chamber/CVB/Resort Association is a partner with the Incline Village Crystal Bay Visitors Bureau in the North Lake Tahoe Marketing Cooperative. The organization also serves as a partner with Placer County and other public agencies in the development and funding of infrastructure, transit and community mobility projects designed to enhance tourism and community quality of life for the benefit of all in the North Lake Tahoe region.
