Event Date:
April 21, 2015 - 3:30pm

A tourism forum will be held in South Lake Tahoe April 21 to discuss the issues that may impact local tourism, recreation and the economy in the future as well as marketing and trends the South Shore should embrace.

The 2015 Tourism Forum will feature lessons learned from Tahoe Chamber's trek to Park City, including a trek video that highlights how the South Shore can tackle its own challenges through Park City's example. Special guest speakers Ken Fisher, Park City Recreation Manager, and Jonathan Weidenhamer, Park City Economic Development Manager, will speak to the unique issues and solutions mountain towns face in today's economy.

The forum will also include many other topics, including the ways in which the South Shore can improve its visibility as a world-class recreation and Tahoe South's summer initiatives.

It will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and will be followed by mingle time with guest speakers and recreation professionals at a reception 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The cost is $10 for non-Chamber members and $5 for members. Register here.
