Tahoe Valley Thunderbird Choir excelled at the Music in the Parks Choir Festival.
The choir consisting of Tahoe Valley Students grades 3 through 5 traveled off the hill to American Canyon High School in American Canyon, California on Saturday, May 11 to be adjudicated. The intention was to provide the students with the opportunity and experience of performing under pressure in the presence of top quality competitors. The result was an outstanding showing that resulted in the choir receiving 1st place in their division and a rating of excellence from the panel of judges.

“It was such an awesome day!” exclaimed Choir Director Allyssa Little. “The students were so excited and full of energy. They put on an exceptional performance. I am incredibly proud of these kids. This wouldn’t have been possible without the help of MANY teachers at Tahoe Valley and parent chaperones. The Thunderbird Choir wants to thank the Tahoe Valley PTA and Miles Construction for their donations that made this trip possible!"
