Alpine Aspen Festival celebrates fall colors

The fall colors in Hope Valley attract thousands of visitors each year, and Alpine County has started an annual celebration to celebrate the Aspen tree's beauty and role in providing clean water to millions of Californians.

The two day Alpine Aspen Festival will be held October 10-11, 2015.

There will be Dutch Oven Cooking, Fly Fishing, Historic Emigrant Trail hikes, Historic Mine & Ecology Hike, Horseback Rides, Medicinal Plant Hike, Rivers & Ranches Tour, Photography Workshop, Watercolor Workshop and free music, nature walks, speakers and willow planting.

Some of the workshops are available for a fee, while other activities are free. For more information, visit the festival's website.
