WWRD? What Would Ricky Do?

Many of us have probably wondered what we would do if we had the money that the Maloffs’ had. Could we be as generous and make as much of as impact as Lisa has? Would we give as freely? Would we scrutinize the pockets of Tahoe that need that extra boost to improve our well-being? Most of us do not know how to answer this. Ricky, however, does; his answer is “yes.”

Many of us may identify Ricky Reich as Lisa Maloff’s loyal friend and fierce protector. Whether at the Barton’s Center of Orthopedics & Wellness groundbreaking event or the LTCC University Center’s grand opening or other smaller fundraisers, Ricky is always by Lisa’s side. For the past 8 years, we have witnessed Ricky often times in the background with his cowboy hat, ensuring that the light shine brightly on Lisa. But, what does Tahoe need to know about Ricky?

Ricky views Lisa as not only the Angel of Tahoe, but as the woman who deserves forever red carpet treatment. His respect, revere, and attention to her is steadfast. He has witnessed and shadowed her immense generosity from the best seat in the house. Just recently, Ricky has started to mirror Lisa’s generosity. In 2018, from his own giving, he has donated $15,000 to complete Bijou Community School’s playground, $25,000 to Tahoe Turning Point, $20,000 to Pop Warner for new equipment and $53,000 to the Tahoe Clean Program for a new vehicle. So, when we turn to ask, what would Ricky do, I think we get the answer that we all would hope for ourselves. When given the chance to make Tahoe a better place, he chooses yes.

Let us be more like Ricky.
