Taxpayer Watchdogs to host fundraising reception for Dan Dellinger

Taxpayer Watchdogs For Dan Dellinger Recorder-Clerk will be hosting a “Campaign Launch” fundraising reception at Crystal Basin Winery in Camino on Wednesday Evening November 15 from 5:30 p.m to 9:00 p.m. Donation is $60 couples and $35 for singles with the proceeds going to help pay for important campaign material such as signs and voter education brochures to help elect Dellinger. All people interested in helping Dellinger improve County government and eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse, are encouraged to attend and support Dellinger’s election. “We need more Taxpayer Advocates like Dan Dellinger in County government who can find and expose abusive practices like paying bonuses to elected officials for being re-elected, showing up for work, or having the qualifications to hold their jobs,” said Bob Conover, Treasurer for the organizing committee.

“Dan Dellinger did a great job looking out for our County when he worked in the State Legislature,” explained Frank Stephens a former lobbyist representing California construction trade contractors at the State Capitol and in Washington, D.C. “While working for Senator Rico Oller, Dan helped draft and then staff several important bills such as SB 1093 saving swimming and boating at Sly Park, SB 428 reforming the organization of the El Dorado County Water Agency to allow the smaller water districts a greater voice in County water policy, SB 731 allowing for the electronic recording of public documents, SB 851 making emergency medical service EMT training less restrictive for volunteer fire departments, and SB 282 allowing placement of the stalled referendum on Cityhood for El Dorado Hills reach the ballot”.

“Few folks know that Dan Dellinger helped ignite the 'shall issue' movement to take politics out of issuing CCWs in California back in 1995 when he helped draft and staff SB 638, the Montieth-Knight Citizen’s Self-protection Act for Senator Dick Montieth and Assemblyman Pete Knight,” ” added Eileen Atherton a competitive small-bore silhouette shooter.

Dan Dellinger is a government relations and political consultant who grew up on a small family ranch in Lotus where he was active in cub scouts, 4-H, and served as a volunteer firefighter for the Coloma-Lotus Volunteer Fire Department. Dellinger graduated from Gold Trail Elementary School, Ponderosa High School, American River College (UBR), and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California - Davis in Agricultural Economics and Business Management.
