South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue hosts blood drive and coat drive

Event Date:
January 19, 2016 - 9:00am

South Lake Tahoe Fire Rescue is happy to be hosting both a blood drive and a coat drive in South Lake Tahoe. The goal is to help the community by providing vital blood as a resource within our community and also provide coats to children in need. We encounter children on calls often who could benefit from a coat donation and hope to make a difference with this.

The coat drive will run from January 1 - January 27 accepting gently used coats for children. Donations can be dropped at any of the three City fire stations (2101 Lake Tahoe Blvd., 2951 Lake Tahoe Blvd. or 1252 Ski Run Blvd). The blood drive will be on January 19th from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Fire Station #3 located at 2101 Lake Tahoe Blvd.

Feel free to bring a coat to donate also! Blood drive drop-ins are welcome or appointments can also be made by visiting Bloodhero.com and using the code SLTF. Interested participants may also contact Kim George at 530-307-9596 or kgeorge@cityofslt.us.

Contact Kim George with any questions about either event. Looking forward to community participation and meeting those who donate!!
