Open casting call in Lake Tahoe area!
My name is Kimberly Vela and I am producing an independent film called "Flounder."
This film follows a young boy as he escapes his unfit home and destructive parents. On his quest to find peace in the Sierra Nevada mountains, Isaiah meets interesting and loving characters including John Hudson, a kind-hearted father figure. This journey ends up taking him to the forest where he befriends a group of teenagers who have also run away from home for various reasons to live together as a group, striving on independence from adults.
Casting call for commercial to be filmed in South Lake Tahoe

Tahoe Production House is holding an open casting call for a commercial they will be filming in South Lake Tahoe June 15 to 25, 2105.
They need someone to play the role of a female runner who will be running in shorts, wearing a sports bra, thin shirt and a small backpack. The person hired must also be willing to jump into water for the final shot.
The production company needs a headshot and video resume of your running no later than June 10, 2015.

John Cocores had forgotten about submitting photos to an online casting call hosted by Microsoft. That is, until this week when the computer software giant contacted him about using his photos for the background on computers as well as wallpaper that can be purchased by users.

The Lake Tahoe Community College Theatre Arts Department will be holding auditions for its fall theatre production of “The Laramie Project: 10 Years Later” on Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 7 p.m. in the college’s Duke Theatre.
This production commemorates the 15th anniversary of Matthew Shepard’s death. Several events will be presented at the college in association with this production, including a screening of the brand new documentary film, “Matthew Shepard is a Friend of Mine.”
