October 21, 2016 (All day) A one-day summit celebrating the women* of Reno - Lake Tahoe - Truckee. Women As Change Makers (WACM) is designed to provide women with the tools, knowledge, and network to take their business or career to the next level. Become inspired through the collective synergy of women. Leave enlivened with new skills and new friends.
WACM is an annual event benefiting Zawadisha, a local social enterprise whose mission is to provide small loans to Kenyan women to help finance their livelihoods. WACM is a bridge that connects the two communities we call home.

October 3, 2014 - 8:30am Zawadisha, a Tahoe-based global women’s empowerment organization, announced today that South Lake resident and Lean In partner Rayona Sharpnack will be the keynote speaker at its inaugural “Women as Change Makers: Leading and Thriving in the 21st Century,” conference, to be held October 3rd at the North Tahoe Event Center. Sharpnack, the CEO of the Institute for Women’s Leadership, has facilitated women’s leadership trainings for such Fortune 500 companies as Microsoft, Charles Schwab, and Hewlett Packard.
