Have you ever made a decision that took you down the wrong path in life? Boy. I sure have.
Have you ever stumbled and fallen when facing challenges that seemed insurmountable? I’m raising my hand.
Did life ever throw you a curveball that you didn’t see coming, and perhaps you reacted in a way that didn’t serve you well? This has happened to me more times than I can count.
Do you or someone close to you struggle with addiction or mental health challenges? My family and personal relationships certainly haven’t been immune to either of these troubling issues.
Amgen Tour of California men's and women's stages return to South Lake Tahoe

Good news for South Lake Tahoe as the Amgen Tour of California has announced their 2018 race schedule. A favored site for the women’s race, South Lake Tahoe will once again host the men for the Stage 6 finish and welcome back the women for the fourth year in a row on May 18. 2018.
AEG, the world’s leading sports and live entertainment company, made the announcement Thursday.
Talking turkey: Fabulous brine and a unique barbecue twist

For years I thawed my turkey, covered it with butter and herbs and foil, and popped it into the oven, always afraid to steer away from what I knew worked.
That was, until I watched Emeril Lagasse on Good Morning America about ten year ago. Now, its all about the brine!
The first year I tried the brine I had the recipe all written out and followed it closely, but since then I improvise with whatever is in the kitchen cupboards.
Since this is Tuesday there is still time to do a brine, but you need to hurry.

Good Morning America, ABC TV's morning show, has but the vote out to the viewers to select the top spot in the country. They gathered nominations and photos and here are the Top 5:\\The Top 5 Nominees
1. Lake Tahoe. Known for its crystal clear blue water and surrounded by snow-capped mountains, the lake, which borders Nevada and California, is a nature lover's paradise. For Nancie Goodnough, who cannot walk and hike due to rheumatoid arthritis, Lake Tahoe has been a place of healing.
Lake Tahoe Nordic Festival arrives Feb. 8-10

Alpenglow Sports has teamed up with Tahoe Cross Country to present the first-ever Lake Tahoe Nordic Festival Friday, February 8 through Sunday, February 10. Lake Tahoe to make bid for 2015-17 Winter X Games

ESPN, which owns the X Games franchise, announced qualified entities representing cities and Lake Tahoe was listed among the eligible destinations. Finalists will be determined by April 2013 and host cities will be announced by the end of 2013, according to a news release.
North Lake Tahoe launches first-ever free ski shuttle
Submitted by Editor on Mon, 01/07/2013 - 2:13amGetting to North Lake Tahoe’s snowy ski slopes just got a whole lot easier with the launch of the region's first area-wide free ski shuttle serving North Lake Tahoe, Truckee and Donner Summit.
The service runs between area lodging properties to 9 different ski resorts on weekends and holiday weeks now through March 31. It was formed through a collaboration of the North Lake Tahoe Chamber/CVB/Resort Association in partnership with the Truckee/North Tahoe Transportation Management Association and Placer County, the town of Truckee and several ski resorts.
