Tahoe Best in the Basin Award winners announced
Submitted by paula on Sun, 12/20/2020 - 6:15pmSeven outstanding restoration, sustainability, and construction projects were recognized as recipients of Best in the Basin awards by the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) during an online meeting of the agency’s Governing Board. The projects and programs each exhibit outstanding planning and execution and lead the way in environmental stewardship in the Lake Tahoe Region, according to the agency.
An Old-Fashioned Holiday Open House at Dangberg Historic Park

December 9, 2017 (All day) An old-fashioned “Holiday Open House” returns to Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park Saturday, December 9 and 16 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm both days.
The exhibit includes toys from the 1870s through the 1890s that were played with by Fred Dangberg, Jr., and his siblings, as well as numerous toys enjoyed by Fred’s five children and one grandson from the 1900s through the 1940s.

Trick or Treat at the Historic Wungnema Open House

October 29, 2017 - 2:00pm The Foundation for Carson City Parks & Recreation (FCCPR), is hosting an Open House at the Wungnema House located in Mills Park, Carson City, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 29, 2017. This is an all ages event, children are welcome, and may come in costume for some old fashioned trick or treating. Parents and children will have an opportunity to learn about this historic home, Native American culture, and the Wungnema family's contributions to the town.
