A high wind warning for Lake Tahoe was issued by the National Weather Service in Reno and was set to expire Thursday night.

Power restored to about 3,500 Liberty Energy customers

Power went out at about 2:30 this afternoon and was fully restored by 3:15 p.m., said Randy Kelly, manager for Liberty Energy. The outage stretched along Pioneer Trail, to Black Bart and included Lake Tahoe Community College and the South Tahoe Public Utility District sewer plant, Kelly said.
