SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The job of a police sergeant is a multi-faceted one as they play many different roles in the course of an average day with expectations they excel at each of them at all times.
An article on PoliceOne.Com calls the sergeant a police force's MVP, one who leads by example, enforces agency policies and procedures, and communicates and supports agency policy, all while being the linchpin between the community, management, and line personnel.

By proclamation of the County Board of Supervisors, El Dorado County celebrated Probation Services Week this week, July 17 – July 21, 2017. As the Chief Probation Officer in El Dorado County, I would like to take the opportunity to reflect on the critical work probation does in our criminal justice system and say thank you to all the men and women of my department who work tirelessly to protect our communities, reduce recidivism, restore victims, promote healthy families, and live the vision of our department: Safe Communities Through Changed Lives.
Truckee firm now historic structural engineer for California State Parks

Forests, beaches and trails may first come to mind when picturing California’s State Parks – but California State Department of Parks and Recreation (State Parks) is also the steward of hundreds of historic buildings and bridges. Truckee-based Linchpin Structural Engineering, Inc. (Linchpin) is now assisting to preserve them.
