10:27 a.m. - Search and Rescue - Echo Summit - RESCUE FOR INJURED 56-YEAR-OLD FEMALE HORSEBACK RIDER AND HORSE.

Search and Rescue (SAR) teams from Douglas County and El Dorado County save lives each year, and many times they have to respond to adverse conditions just as was the case when they were called out to Mott Canyon after two skiers were lost last week after skiing out of bounds at Heavenly.

4:45 a.m. - Possession - James Ave - A SMALL CONTAINER OF COCAINE WAS FOUND IN THE PRISONER AREA OF AN EDSO PATROL VEHICLE. THE COCAINE WAS BOOKED AS EVIDENCE.

11:28 a.m. - Search & Rescue - Eagles Falls Trail - SEARCH AND RESCUE INITIATED FOR 4 MALE LOST HIKERS (AGES 18, 25, 42. 43) IN DESOLATION WILDERNESS NEAR VELMA LAKES AND EAGLE FALLS TRAIL.

12:09 p.m. - Offensive Words - Al Tahoe Bl - A 47-YEAR-OLD MALE INMATE WAS CHALLENGED TO FIGHT A 32-YEAR-OLD MALE INMATE WHILE IN CUSTODY.

6:31 a.m. - Arrest for stored property on Montreal Rd - A 59-YEAR-OLD MAN WAS ARRESTED.

3:46 p.m. - Vague Threats - Al Tahoe Blvd - A 33-YEAR-OLD MALE INMATE ACCUSED ANOTHER INMATE, AGE 18, OF MAKING THREATS.

A CHP helicopter crew and rescue personnel with mountain climbing experience had to be called upon the get three young people from Sacramento off a rocky Sierra Nevada outcropping.

The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office got a cell phone call for help in the early morning hours Saturday from the three stranded hikers. They were on a ledge in the Desolation Wilderness and could not safely go up or down.

2:21 a.m. - Vacation Rental Noise Disturbance - Crystal Air Drive - DEPUTIES RESPONDED TO NOISE COMPLAINT AT A RENTAL PROPERTY IN THE AREA OF SOUTH LAKE TAHOE. AN INFORMATION REPORT WAS GENERATED AND FORWARDED TO DEPUTY ALMOS FOR FURTHER FOLLOW-UP.

12:14 a.m. - Vacation Rental Noise Complaint - Cold Creek Trail - VACATION RENTAL NOISE COMPLAINT, PARTY WARNED.

12:28 a.m. - Vacation Rental Noise Complaint - Lupine Trail - VACATION RENTAL NOISE COMPLAINT. PARTIES WARNED.

3:37 p.m. - Mt. Tallac - SEARCH AND RESCUE INITIATED FOR TWO LOST HIKERS COMING DOWN FROM MT TALLAC. LOST WAS A 27 YEAR OLD WOMAN AND A 30 YEAR OLD MAN.

7:00 p.m. - Cherry Hills Circle - REPORT OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS.

9:38 p.m. - Martin Avenue - 27 YEAR OLD MAN ARRESTED FOR DUI.

1:22 a.m. - Prospector Trail: A 21 YEAR OLD WOMAN WAS ARRESTED FOR DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE.
12:10 p.m. - Cherry Hills Circle: SUSPECT, A 40 YEAR OLD WOMAN, ASSAULTED THE VICTIM, A 55 YEAR OLD MAN, WITH A "BALL CHUCKER", A PLASTIC DEVICE USED TO THROW A TENNIS BALL.

3:03 a.m. - Oaxaco Street: A REPORT OF NOISE DISTURBANCE FROM VACATION RENTAL.

El Dorado County Sheriff's Search and Rescue teams were called out twice on Friday evening, once to the Cascade Falls area and the other to Vikingsholm.

The first call came in just before 5 p.m. on Friday, March 15. Two women from Illinois were hiking near Cascade Falls and became lost. They called 911. While waiting to be located, the women came across other hikers who assisted them in returning to the camp ground where they were met by Search and Rescue at approximately 6 p.m. No injuries were reported.
