City awards OnCourse Events a five year contract for Live at Lakeview

Live at Lakeview is now classified as a signature event for the City of South Lake Tahoe, and once that was clarified during Tuesday's City Council meeting, Rob Guistina's business OnCourse Events, was awarded a five year contract to put on the Thursday night concert series.

Since the city is actually giving the event about $41,500 in waived venue charges ($650 a week), in kind services of parks, streets and public safety personnel, and cash.

City seeks proposals for Lakeview Commons Signature Summer Event

The current contract the City of South Lake Tahoe has with the promoters of Live at Lakeview has expired and bids for a signature summer series at Lakeview Commons are now being accepted.

The City's contract with OnCourse Events was for the summers of 2013 and 2014 so they are now required to send out a new 'Request for Proposal' for a Summer Signature Event at the popular Lakeview Commons on the corner of Lake Tahoe Blvd and Lakeview Ave.

All who meet the proposal requirements are welcome to submit a proposal.
