Stand up paddle shop moving into old winery with new wine and coffee bar

It was down to the 11th hour, Chris Brackett had to be out of his South Tahoe Stand Up Paddle location and had no place to go with all of his boards. He was in the same situation as Rude Brothers, the bagel and coffee shop that shared the same location. With the building sold and all tenants given notice to move, both businesses needed to relocate.

Lakeview Commons will be packed full of vendors, stand up paddle board racers, and excitement this weekend as South Tahoe Standup Paddle hosts the annual Race the Lake of the Sky.
This family friendly event attracts some of the world’s best athletes and has become known as the must attend flat water SUP race in the country.
The weekend races include a short course, long distance, team relay, grom races and the SUP Cross Sprint course as well as a race.

The BAHM! begins with a one-hour stand up paddle board session at El Dorado Beach from 4:30 to 5:30 pm followed by appetizers and drinks until 7:30 pm at the South Tahoe Standup Paddle retail location.

The 3rd Annual Race the Lake of the Sky hits the waters of South Lake Tahoe this weekend.
Started in 2012 by South Tahoe Stand Up Paddle, Race the Lake of the Sky is a premiere flat-water SUP race and was dubbed the top pick for the best stand up paddle event of the year in 2013 by pro SUP athlete Anthony Vela. The event offers a stunning location as the backdrop in drawing hundreds of participants, novice and elite alike. Various races include short course. They wrap it all up with a 14 mile race to Emerald Bay and Back on Sunday.

Lakeview Commons Celebrated for Summer Paddle Sports

Described as "A solstice celebration of human powered watercraft" this event celebrated all the ways people can paddle all over the world. Learn the latest goings on at Lakeview Commons this summer.
