At noon on Saturday, Jan. 19, Heavenly Mountain Resort at Lake Tahoe will celebrate the return of the halfpipe after a five-year hiatus. With the help of Heavenly’s High Roller Freeride Team, the high-energy ribbon cutting ceremony will feature a DJ, giveaways, EpicMix Photos with the lovely Heavenly Angels, and free swag from Red Bull and Nature Valley.

On Dec. 13, TahoeChamber held a ribbon cutting and book signing at The Center for Higher Learning for longtime South Shore Lake Tahoe therapist Ray Goodenough.

The Center for Higher Learning offers a variety of modalities and experiences that provide Client Centered Therapy, Personal Growth Workshops, and Seminars. They specialize in Hypnotherapy, Substance Abuse Counseling, Zazen Meditation, Enneagram, NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and Continuing Education Credits for Substance Abuse Counselors.

Fromarc Insurance Agency has been family owned and operated since 1985, when Tita Anderson started the company as an agent/broker. Since then, the team has grown to include her husband Bob, their daughter Justine, Ann Zion, and Brady Ward. On September 27, forty friends, family, and clients joined them for a Business After Hours and Chamber Ribbon Cutting, and enjoyed stories about their years of success and community service.

UPDATE MONDAY: Saturday's grand opening of Bonanza Park brought community members of all ages to hear the dedication from Chuck Scharer, President and CEO of Edgewood Companies and South Lake Tahoe Mayor Claire Fortier.
