Edgewood Companies, City of South Lake Tahoe to break ground on Bonanza Park

A local South Lake Tahoe neighborhood will soon have something to cheer about because on Monday, April 30 from 5:30pm to 6 pm Edgewood Companies will join City officials, families, neighbors and community members at a celebratory groundbreaking ceremony. The groundbreaking will mark the start of construction on Bonanza Park, located at 1209 Bonanza Street.

Solar Project No Short-Term Energy Panacea For Nevada Office Of Military
Submitted by Editor on Tue, 04/03/2012 - 4:58pmCARSON CITY – Nevada’s Office of the Military figured it would be money ahead after entering into a contract with a firm to build solar panels on three of its sites around the state to supply it with electricity.
But today officials with the office won approval from the state Board of Examiners to seek $46,284 from a legislative contingency fund to pay excess utility costs. The reason is because the solar energy being provided under the contract is costing the agency more than if it purchased electricity directly from NV Energy.

Approaching from the western side is the boat ramp, and a newly constructed Boathouse. The downstairs will feature storage lockers for paddle boards and kayaks, restrooms, and a boat rental area. Upstairs will be a concession stand and patio with a gas fire pit and a more commercial size barbeque with a cook top.

The City of South Lake Tahoe hosted a special project walk-through at the Lakeview Commons Project Site Thursday afternoon, and revealed the almost-finished product that the city hopes will be a jewel in the recreation crown for the area.

Often it’s the quick demolition route developers will take to get rid of one project to build another. Materials are thrown in the trash with no consideration for their reuse potential. This is not the case with Edgewood Companies and the sustainable deconstruction effort at 1209 Bonanza Avenue, the site of the former C&M Lodge in South Lake Tahoe.
