The South Tahoe Public Utility District will have a regular board meeting on Thursday, February 2 at 2 p.m. at the District office at 1275 Meadow Crest Drive. The agenda can be found here.
Items on the agenda include a resolution establishing criteria for determining whether a public works project is "substantially complex.” Defining a project in this way will allow the District to withhold retention funds for contractors higher than the federal limit, which is 5 percent.

Fire spreads from firebox into attic of South Tahoe home
Submitted by Editor on Fri, 01/20/2012 - 2:37amA house fire that started in a box in back of a fireplace and spread into the attic of a Cold Creek Trail home was knocked down Thursday night. No one was hurt in the blaze, which was largely confined to the attic and ceiling, said Lake Valley Fire Protection District Chief Gareth Harris.
The house, located at 2497 Cold Creek Trail is not habitable but still standing. The fire was reported at around 7 p.m. Estimated damage to the home is between $75,000 to $100,000, Harris said.
