Steve Hemphill has returned to Sierra-at-Tahoe, this time as their Director of Marketing.
Hemphill left his position as the resort's Communications Manager to work at K2 Sports as their Digital and Social Manager. While at K2, Hemphill helped grow digital presence and executed a wide variety of global digital campaigns. Hemphill has also worked at Freeskier Magazine where he was an assistant editor. In 2014, Hemphill was recognized by Ski Area Management Magazine as a top individual in the snow sports industry under 30 years of age.
Sierra-at-Tahoe to host first-ever Tanner Hall invitational

Sierra Resort at Lake Tahoe will host renowned freeskier and X-Games gold medalist Tanner Hall with the first ever Tanner Hall Invitational set for March 30.
Tied to the birth of freesking, Hall is well accomplished with multiple X Games gold medals in both slopestyle and superpipe. Hall has invited 15 of the best skiers in the world to participate in this one-of-a-kind event with a feature that will progress skiing and offer a different format than the traditional slopestyle contest, said Sierra spokesman Steve Hemphill.

Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort team riders and South Lake Tahoe locals Jamie Anderson, Maddie Bowman, and Hannah Teter will invade Aspen, Colorado, January 24-28, 2013 for the 17th Winter X Games. All three Sierra Resort athletes have pre-qualified for X Games and will shoot to make it back-to-back podiums.

Sierra Resort at Lake Tahoe is proud to maintain their tradition of supporting the community this holiday season and donate canned food to The Food Bank of El Dorado County. Titled CANucopia, Sierra Resort is encouraging guests to bring canned non-perishable foods such as canned soup, dried pasta, crackers, and pasta sauce to the collection bin located at the base of the mountain next to the season pass office until January 12, 2013.

UPDATE 411PM: Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort will open for the 2012-13 season on Thursday, November 22, 2012, offering Easy Rider Express lift, Rock Garden lift, and three surface lifts, giving guests access to four trails including, Broadway, Easy Street, Echo, and Lower Sleighride. Building on the reputation as one of the nation’s top terrain park resorts, Sierra Resort™ will offer a small to medium jib park on Broadway consisting of multiple features including new boxes and rails, giving eager guests a chance to get their park legs back underneath them.
