Soroptimist International celebrates 100 years of global volunteering

There are two Soroptimist International clubs serving South Lake Tahoe and the surrounding community and they recently came together to celebrate 100 years of global volunteering that improves the lives of women and girls.

It is with great disappointment that Soroptimist International of South Lake Tahoe has been informed its partnership with Edgewood Tahoe, during the annual American Century Celebrity Golf Tournament, has come to an end.
Soroptimist International of South Lake Tahoe 47th Annual "An Evening of Food, Wine, & Beer Tasting and Competition"

November 10, 2017 - 6:00pm Soroptimist International of South Lake Tahoe announces the 47th Annual "An Evening of Food, Wine, & Beer Tasting and Competition". This years event will include our local breweries in a competition for 2017 Best of Tahoe Award for the best brewery. The winner of this competition will enjoy a media package with free advertisements from many of our local news outlets.

Kudos: Bread & Broth thanks Tahoe Sierra Soroptimists

In line with their mission, the Soroptimist International of Tahoe Sierra (SITS) participates in local programs based on the specific needs of the South Shore Community. On Monday, February 6th, the Soroptimist (SITS) joined with Bread & Broth to provide a full course, nutritious meal to food insecure community members who attended B&B’s Monday Meal at St. Theresa Grace Hall.
Kudos: South Lake Tahoe Moose Lodge hosts Bread & Broth Dinner

Bread & Broth would like to thank the South Lake Tahoe Moose Lodge #1632 for their Adopt A Day sponsorship of the Monday, October 12th evening dinner. Thanks to the Moose Lodge’s generous donation, the 91 folks who came for dinner were served baked salmon with orange sauce, spaghetti with red sauce, a mixed green salad, a lovely strawberry/cantaloupe salad and a wide assortment of desserts. Although heaping servings were doled out during the first serving at 4:00 p.m., 27 diners returned for the 5:00 p.m. “second” serving of this tasty and nutritious dinner.
Soroptimists giving away $25,000 in grants to local non-profits

South Lake Tahoe area non-profits will be receiving $25,000 in grants from the Soroptimist International of South Lake Tahoe Foundation (SISLT).
SISLT has invited local tax-exempt, nonprofit 501(c)3 organizations to apply for grant funding for Community Service projects and programs.
