SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Smaine Fund, in collaboration with The Hangar Lake Tahoe and PT Revolution, has announced the inaugural Smaine Fund Scramble, a charity golf tournament set to take place on October 13, 2024, at Lake Tahoe Golf Course.

This exciting event will bring together golf enthusiasts and community supporters for a day of friendly competition, the chance to compete for prizes and awards, camaraderie, philanthropy, and the chance to be The Smaine Fund Scramble CHAMPS!

On October 19th and 20th, 2024, the dreadful Sinister Halloween Con will once again haunt the hallowed Scottish Rite Center in Sacramento, California!

Attendees will have the opportunity to see live demonstrations by special effects artists, panels with film and special effects industry icons from both the local and national levels, live pumpkin carving, and over one hundred merchants selling scary goods.

Meet fellow enthusiasts, enjoy exclusive panels, and even meet some of your favorite horror stars. Don’t miss out on the spine-tingling fun!

The Carson City Sheriff’s Office will be hosting the 3rd annual K9 Unit Challenge and Public K9 Obstacle Course on Saturday, October 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Fuji Park in Carson City.

This is a free, public event.

Dozens of K9s from multiple agencies will compete in three primary events: patrol apprehension, odor detection, and agility. Apprehension and Agility events will be on full display at Fuji’s main arena, where there are bleachers for public viewing (and cheering).

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - A new event is coming to the South Shore - Meyers Mountain Fall Festival on October 19-20, 2024, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Think Apple Hill meets Oktoberfest and you'll get an idea of the fun festival at Tahoe Paradise Park.

Kree Abravanel, co-founder of Meyers Mountain Market and Music in the Park is bringing this new two-day event for the community to enjoy. Two days filled with fun, food, and fall festivities.
