The next UCDavis Tahoe Environmental Center (TERC) Science Speaks Lecture will be on Oct. 24 at 6 p.m. at Sunnyside Resort. The guest speaker will be award-winning author Judith Schwartz and her presentation, Forest is a Verb: A Landscape Lens on Climate.

Black Ice Theatre Co. and Carson Valley Community Theatre (CVCT) are joining together to present “Misery” a play based on the novel by Stephen King. Black Ice Theatre Co. is based in South Lake Tahoe, and was founded in order to engage audiences through fresh and daring plays that explore themes that are both vital to the modern moment and timeless representations of the human experience. “Misery” will be a departure from the CVCT regular productions, and create a new “Immersive” experience to the audience.

Tipsy Putt's Sunday FUNDdays in October to raise money for Sierra Child & Family Services

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — South Lake Tahoe’s first indoor mini golf course, Tipsy Putt, will be teaming up with the Sierra Child & Family Services to give back to South Lake Tahoe’s community. Each Sunday in October, Tipsy Putt will donate $1 for every beer and $1 for every round of mini golf purchased.

Tipsy Putt’s one-of-a-kind mini golf course encourages camaraderie
and a chance to bond with fellow civic-minded citizens over the needs
