Black Ice Theatre Co. and Carson Valley Community Theatre (CVCT) are joining together to present “Misery” a play based on the novel by Stephen King. Black Ice Theatre Co. is based in South Lake Tahoe, and was founded in order to engage audiences through fresh and daring plays that explore themes that are both vital to the modern moment and timeless representations of the human experience. “Misery” will be a departure from the CVCT regular productions, and create a new “Immersive” experience to the audience.

Drug Take Bay Day in South Lake Tahoe October 26

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Have bottles of prescriptions sitting unused in your medicine cabinet?

A free and anonymous disposal site for expired and unused drugs will be in the American Legion Post 795 parking lot at 2748 Lake Tahoe Blvd, South Lake Tahoe, on October 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as part of National Drug Take Back Day. The South Lake Tahoe Police Department (SLTPD) in conjunction with the Tahoe Alliance for Safe Kids (TASK) will be hosting the event. TASK and SLTPD will both be on hand to answer any questions or address any concerns the public may have.

Free Plant-Based Seminar and Tasting Event at Lake Tahoe Presbyterian Church

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Lake Tahoe Community Presbyterian Church will present a Plant-Based Seminar and Tasting Event in the church Family room on Saturday, October 26 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is no charge for the Event, however, an opportunity to donate to the Deacon’s Fund will be offered.

Valhalla Tahoe celebrates 100 years of the Heller Estate

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Valhalla Tahoe, the nonprofit organization that manages the historic Heller Estate, commonly known as Valhalla, is celebrating the 100-year-old historic estate with a special event for the community on Saturday, October 26 from 4 p.m.-9 p.m. The event will honor Valhalla by inviting the community to gather at the historic estate and enjoy the buildings and the grounds.

TedX South Lake Tahoe speakers to focus on growth
