High Sierra Softball Jamboree, Gear Swap and Skill Clinic

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Rip, run and steal! The 2022 season of High Sierra Softball is ready to start, and the Jamboree that kicks it all off is scheduled for April 3 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at South Tahoe High School.

Girls can still sign up at the Jamboree and online registration is still available HERE. 1st time players are welcome!

There will be a skills clinic with the South Tahoe High Softball Team and a gear swap as well.

Minis and Farm - 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
Minors - 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Sunday community fundraisers at Flatstick Pub benefit Live Violence Free in April

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - — South Lake Tahoe’s first indoor mini-golf course, Flatstick Pub, will be teaming up with the Live Violence Free in order to lift up South Lake Tahoe.

Each Sunday in April, Flatstick Pub will donate $1 for every beer and $1 for every round of mini-golf purchased.

Flatstick Pub’s one-of-a-kind mini-golf course encourages camaraderie and a chance to bond with fellow civic-minded citizens over the needs of Tahoe’s communities. Guests can learn from Live Violence Free representatives how their efforts meet the challenges of their mission head-on

Awesome Easter event at Lake Tahoe Presbyterian Church

The Lake Tahoe Presbyterian Church is holding a free children's Easter event on Sunday, April 3 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Called "Awesome Easter," children in grades K-6th are invited to attend and there will be crafts, singing, games, and food.

Try to register children by March 28 to attend so supplies can be prepared. Call the church office at 530-544-3757 or email TahoePresChurchEvents@gmail.com to register.

It Will be Held at Lake Tahoe Community Presbyterian Church, 2733 Lake Tahoe Blvd., next to the original Red Hut.

Phyllis Shafer: Figure Studies

Decades of demonstrations drawings by South Lake Tahoe resident, Phyllis Shafer, were created while she taught figure study classes. These drawings comprise the Capital City Arts Initiative’s exhibition, "Phyllis Shafer: Figure Studies" in Western Nevada College’s Bristlecone Gallery.

The free exhibit is open to the public through April 20, 2022, Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., in the college’s Bristlecone Building, 2201 West College Parkway, Carson City. The drawings will be for sale as a fundraiser for the Capital City Arts Initiative.

El Dorado County DOT holding public meeting on upcoming winter snow removal

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - After an overwhelming situation in March 2024, many residents are concerned with snow removal for the upcoming winter. The El Dorado County Department of Transportation (DOT) will be holding a public meeting in South Lake Tahoe to discuss plans for and take questions about the upcoming winter snow removal operations in the unincorporated portions of the Basin.

Alias Brass performs in South Lake Tahoe schools next week, free public show at Valhalla

Pre-sale will begin Wednesday, May 8 at 12 p.m., and tickets go on sale Thursday, May 9 at 12 p.m. Ticket prices will range from $49 - $125 and will be available to purchase at: TahoeBlueEventCenter.com.

Ancient Forest Society holds fundraiser at Valhalla Tahoe
