Dog Town Rescue Adoption Event!
October 12, 2024 - 11:00am

Join Dog Town Rescue for our adoption event on Saturday, October 12th, at the Carson City PetCo on Topsy Lane.
We'll be there from 11:00 - 2:00 with some of our adoptable dogs, ready to meet new families.
Dog Town will have free goodie bags for the first ten visitors who come see us with their dogs. Check out our awesome raffle baskets, with doggie and human treats!
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and available for a $200 donation.

Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe to host comedy show dinner at MacDuffs

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe will host an exclusive Comedy Show Dinner at MacDuff’s Pub Tahoe on Saturday, October 12, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Join renowned comedian Joe Praino as he hosts a night of laughter with friends Andy Lazarus, Pete Castaro and headliner Chris Fairbanks. The evening promises an unforgettable night of comedy,
accompanied by delicious food and drinks.

Boys & Girls Club of Lake Tahoe to host the 31st annual Golf Classic

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Boys and Girls Club of Lake Tahoe's 31st Annual Golf Classic will take place on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course. Edgewood generously donates its course and facilities to the Club each year for one of its largest fundraisers.

Inaugural Pumpkin Patch Splash at South Lake Tahoe Recreation Center

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The City of South Lake Tahoe Parks & Recreation Department is bringing holiday fun to the community when they host the inaugural Pumpkin Patch Splash on Sunday, October 13. This is a unique and festive event where kids pick their pumpkins straight from the pool! After choosing your pumpkin, the kids will head over to the Decoration Station to create their own masterpiece.

Activities Include:

Pumpkin Bowling
Pumpkin Tic-Tac-Toe

Meyers Community Foundation Annual Gear Swap
October 13, 2024 (All day)

On October 13th, the Meyers Community Foundation (MCF) will host the 10th annual Meyers Outdoor Gear Swap in the Westgate Center parking lot, adjacent to the Divided Sky (weather permitting).

Shop until you drop for skis, snowboards, bikes, paddle gear, climbing gear, camping equipment, and other outdoor toys. Cash or Credit Cards will be accepted.

If you’ve got quality summer or winter Outdoor Gear to sell come join us! Merchandise registration will take place from 8am to 9:30am.

Smaine Fund Scramble: A golf fundraiser to support The Smaine Fund

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Smaine Fund, in collaboration with The Hangar Lake Tahoe and PT Revolution, has announced the inaugural Smaine Fund Scramble, a charity golf tournament set to take place on October 13, 2024, at Lake Tahoe Golf Course.

This exciting event will bring together golf enthusiasts and community supporters for a day of friendly competition, the chance to compete for prizes and awards, camaraderie, philanthropy, and the chance to be The Smaine Fund Scramble CHAMPS!

An evening with Oct. 7 Survivor Ofri Avigdor Betser

Please join us as we hear Ofri's remarkable story of strength, bravery and inspiration as she survived the October 7 massacre.

Ofri, 31-year-old Israeli from Kibbutz Kfar Aza. Married to Guy who have two daughters, Daya, 2 and Yaara, 10 months. Ofri worked in Kfar Aza’s childhood education until October 7th.

Tahoe Agencies propose permanent location for Meyers Watercraft Inspection Station

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – Partner agencies are working to find a permanent home for the aquatic invasive species (AIS) watercraft inspection station in Meyers, Calif. Approximately 8,000 boats are inspected every year to protect Lake Tahoe from aquatic invaders, with 2,000 inspections done at the Meyers station. The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA), El Dorado County, California Tahoe Conservancy, and Tahoe Resource Conservation District will host a public meeting on Monday, October 14 at 5:30 p.m.

Next Tahoe History Talk features presentation "Glenbrook—from Timber to Tourism"

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Join the Lake Tahoe Historical Society on Oct. 15 for their next Tahoe History Talks at the Museum Complex. The guest speaker will be Susan Magee Clemons, the president of the Glenbrook Historical Society. Her presentation, “Glenbrook—from Timber to Tourism,” will include a slideshow of Glenbrook then and now.

The Glenbrook Historical Society's mission is to preserve, promote, and communicate the history and heritage of Glenbrook, Nevada.

Pathways for Wildlife Presentation, Hosted by the Tahoe Area Sierra Club

The Tahoe Area Sierra Club will be having wildlife research organization, Pathways for Wildlife, present what their organization does on October 16th at 5:00 pm at Lake Tahoe Community College in the Aspen-Board Room.
