November 23, 2011 (All day) The Brotherhood Motorcycle Club wishes to thank local businesses and community members here in South Lake Tahoe and Stateline for their generous donations for our annual fundraiser, HOGG WILD XVI. Because of our community’s generosity, we were able to provide 50 complete Turkey dinners to families in need this Thanksgiving. The giveaway at Sierra Community Church was a huge success thanks to the following individuals, businesses and community members. Thanks to Christine from Lira’s Market for putting the dinner packages together.
Tahoe planning agency to look at Homewood plan; Upper Truckee river plan removed from agenda
Submitted by Editor on Mon, 11/28/2011 - 4:18pmThe Tahoe Regional Planning Agency will hear plans on the Homewood project on the west shore but has scrapped plans to discuss the Upper Truckee River Restoration project during a two-day meeting of the Governing Board.
According to a news release, the Dec. 14 agenda remains unchanged and includes a proposed adoption of the Final Environmental Impact Review and Environmental Impact Statement for Homewood Mountain Resort. The meetings are on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at Granlibakken, and Thursday, Dec. 15 at the TRPA offices.
