29th Annual Booster Club Golf Tournament

Event Date:
May 7, 2016 - 11:00am

For almost 30 years, Edgewood Tahoe has hosted a golf tournament to help raise funds for local schools, and plans have now been unveiled for the 29th Annual Booster Club Golf Tournament. The first day of this popular event has already sold out, so now is the time to sign up for the May 8 tournament.

This fun filled event includes a chance to win trophies, raffle prizes and a closest to the pin contest, and a hole in one prize.

The $145.00 entry fee includes 18 holes of golf, golf cart, and their famous booster club lunch. Each day is an individual tournament with a scramble format. Individuals, couples, and foursomes are welcome.

"This annual fundraiser is a joint effort between South Tahoe and Whittell High School Booster Clubs to raise much needed money for our local athletes, " said Kevin Kjer, tournament director. "It is the only fundraiser that the two schools work on together for a common cause.

Due to the generosity and support of Edgewood Tahoe, all of the funds raised go directly to the schools. Last year over $36,000.00 was raised so each school was able to give $18,000 to their sports teams for needed equipment, uniforms and other special needs.

The tournament committee is also looking for raffle donations from local businesses. Any size donation from a bottle of wine to a gift certificate is welcome.

The tournament is already sold out for Sat. May 7, but spots are still available for Sunday, May 8. For more information please contact Kevin Kjer at 775-588-6354 or kjkjer@aol.com.
