Carson Tahoe Care Center, a Prestige Care center opening soon in Carson City, Nev., invites the community to attend a free screening of the film Alive Inside on Wednesday, October 24 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. This award-winning documentary explores music’s ability to combat memory loss and restore a sense of self to those living with dementia.

The film highlights individuals around the country who have experienced positive benefits through listening to music, and features interviews with experts in the fields of memory care and music. The filmmakers have traveled to film festivals and senior living communities around the world to share their message and inspire others to help those with memory loss through music therapy.

Carson Tahoe Care Center is proud to host this viewing as part of its dedication to offering programs and resources to support and care for those living with Alzheimer’s and other memory disorders. This new center will offer Prestige’s award-winning Expressions Memory Care program, which uses innovative care techniques and life enrichment programming to provide people with dementia and their families an environment in which the individual can live a productive and active life.

During the event, Prestige representatives will also share details on the Expressions Music Program, which uses the power of music to soothe agitation, uplift spirits and alleviate communication barriers for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
