Three suspects arrested after attempted home invasion robbery in Meyers

MEYERS, Calif. - Three men were arrested early Saturday morning following an attempted home invasion robbery at a Meyers residence.

Deputies from the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office (EDSO) were dispatched to a home at 4:34 a.m. January 16 after dispatch received a call from the residents. They said two men entered their home and attempted to conduct a robbery while using violence. EDSO said the residents resisted and there was some "physical conflict" between two or three residents and the two suspects.

The two suspects then left the home in a vehicle driven by a third suspect.

EDSO issued a "be on the lookout" to law enforcement in the area and the suspects' vehicle was spotted at 4:41 a.m. and they stopped in the South Lake Tahoe CVS parking lot.

The suspects were taken into custody without incident and booked into jail. One of the suspects was treated for injuries he sustained during the physical altercation during the attempted robbery.

Arrested were:
Andrew Ruiz Perez, 33, of South Lake Tahoe. His bail is set at $200,000 and he currently faces charges of Burglary First Degree and Attempted Robbery In Residence.

Gerald Ruiz Perez, 53 of South Lake Tahoe. His bail is set t $240,000 and he currently faces charges of Burglary First Degree and Attempted Robbery In Residence with bail enchancement.

Joshua Lee Edde, 28, last known address Cameron Park. His bail is set at $225,000 and he currently faces charges of Robbery, Burglary First Degree and Attempted Robbery In Residence with bail enchancement.

As of Monday evening, all three are in the El Dorado County Jail in South Lake Tahoe.

There is no other information available at this time.

All subjects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
