Submitted by paula on Fri, 01/31/2020 - 1:08am
With ski break coming up in two weeks and winter formal dance on Saturday, some students at South Lake Tahoe High School were busy with senior projects, while the basketball team travels to Dayton.
On Campus
New term means new classes. Seniors that are enrolled in English or independent senior project this term began work this week. Here are some of the senior project proposals:
Tyler Pevenage is focusing on the performance of yoga. “I will be learning about something that, in the future, I can implement and use in my life.”
Ian Bowman will be learning how to build, run, and teach a hockey camp for third graders.
“I love the game of hockey, and would love to learn to teach younger kids the basic skills,” said Bowman. “Most of the time I have been the one receiving the hockey lessons. It would be nice being on the other side for once.”
Winter Formal is Saturday in the Student Union from 7-10 p.m.
In Athletics
After a loss from Churchill County High School, the basketball teams travel Friday to Dayton High School for their next league game.
Girls play at 6 p.m. Boys at 7:30 p.m.
