Knorr to continue as interim El Dorado County CAO for one year

In Placerville today the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors unanimously
appointed Pamela Knorr as the Chief Administrative Officer for an interim period of one year. She replaces Terri Daley who resigned after the Supervisors voted to remove her from the position in November, 2014. Daley reached an agreement with the county that paid her nine months of her annual salary of $204,692.

Ms. Knorr has served the public in several capacities over the past 28 years. She has worked in county administration, human resources, human services, and public sector budgeting in five different counties in California: Amador, Napa, Placer, Alpine, and El Dorado. She served previously as the Chief Administrative Officer for five years in Alpine County.

El Dorado County Board of Supervisors Chairman and District Three Supervisor Brian Veerkamp said, “Pamela brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this position with a common sense approach. The Board is confident that she will be successful in guiding the County through this transition.”

Over the next year, Ms. Knorr will continue to work with the Board and County departments to achieve ongoing County goals:
- Presenting a Board directed balanced budget for Fiscal Year 2015-16
- Facilitating the development of a county strategic plan
- Identifying and evaluating options for new county facilities

“I want to thank the Board of Supervisors for its confidence in me, and I’m truly humbled to serve in this capacity,” Pamela Knorr said. “I look forward to working with the Board, County departments, and citizens of El Dorado County over the next year to achieve many of the County’s goals.”

At the end of one year, the Board will conduct a competitive recruitment for a permanent Chief Administrative Officer.
