New executive director appointed for Tahoe Youth & Family Services

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Tahoe Youth & Family Services has appointed a new executive director. Brian Conway, an experienced leader in public service, has accepted the position to head up the nonprofit that has been serving South Lake Tahoe and Douglas County since 1975.

Conway will succeed Karen Carey, who announced her retirement last fall. He will assume responsibilities on February 17, 2022.

Conway’s career has consisted of over 35 years working in various aspects of behavioral health, law enforcement, and public service. Accolades of his career include serving as an elected official at the county, state, and federal levels and volunteer work through numerous community organizations.

Conway has had an impressive career finding he is most fulfilled working with organizations where he can give back to his community by providing and growing valuable and needed services.

“Brian (Conway) will be a great addition to Tahoe Youth & Family Services,” said Board Secretary Courtney Moore. “He is passionate about the mission of our organization and will be an effective leader in achieving growth and successful outcomes for the communities we serve.”

Conway received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from California State University, Fresno. He lives in South Lake Tahoe with his wife.
