Letter: How local businesses and people can help South Tahoe Little League

The South Tahoe Little League (STNLL) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is staffed and organized solely by volunteers. The organization centers around developmental youth baseball programs for ages 4 to 12. But we are so much more than just bats and balls. We serve over 400 youth annually through a program designed to not only be fun, but also to teach the benefits of teamwork, respect for authority, and self-discipline. We strive to instill the values of character, courage, and loyalty in all of the participants. Our belief is that fostering these traits in our youth will guide them to become strong future leaders and active participants in their communities.

At the start of each annual season, we look to our local community members to assist in funding the league. Our program consists of the regular Spring Season, Summer All-Stars, and Fall Ball. In order to offer these programs, we rely heavily on the generosity of local businesses and families. Each youth pays a registration fee, however financial sponsorships are available for any youth who lacks the ability to pay. Because we accept all youth regardless of ability to pay and are committed to keeping the fees affordable, we utilize funds received from the community to cover a large portion of our operating costs. We offer several ways for the community to invest in our youth and support STNLL, which are outlined below. If you are interested in any of these options, contact fundraising.STNLL@gmail.com. If you are interested in making an in-kind goods donation or discussing other ways you may be able to support our league please reach out to our fundraising team and the same email.
