Christopher Daniel McClure ~ 1971 - 2024

Christopher D. McClure, 52, after a short battle with cancer passed away on January 30, 2024, at Renown Hospital surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on February 11, 1971, in Anaheim, California, the son of John W. and Karen J. (Buran) McClure.

Chris graduated from Fountain Valley High School and then attended Orange Coast College and was on the Ski and Water Polo Teams. Chris graduated from OCC with a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing. Chris continued his passion for skiing after college and moved to Mammoth Mountain, California at the age of 20, where he lived for over a decade and worked at Mogul Restaurant. Chris then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, and Sedona, Arizona before settling in Maui, Hawaii for 15 years where he met his wife, Lynn. Chris enjoyed the island and spent endless hours on the golf courses with his father John. In 2019 Chris moved back to the mountains where he and Lynn were married and settled in South Lake Tahoe, California with his family to enjoy his lifelong passion for skiing.

Chris was predeceased by his father, John W. McClure. Surviving in addition to his mother Karen McClure, are his loving wife, Lynn Henslee, his sons Caleb and Cody McClure, his sister Lisa Paxton and brother Alex McClure, and his very best furry friend, Bella.

A service of remembrance will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 23 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1041 Lyons Ave, South Lake Tahoe, CA. A celebration of life will be held at 3:30 p.m. following the service at Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe, 4130 Lake Tahoe Boulevard.
