Tahoe Lake Elementary School students sell heart necklaces for Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care

LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - Hundreds of salt dough necklaces were created by the third and fourth graders at Tahoe Lake Elementary School in Tahoe City for Valentine's Day.

The students sold all the heart necklaces they made at their school and made $140. They will be donating all of the money raised to Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care (LTWC) in South Lake Tahoe.

LTWC raises and rehabilitates orphaned and injured wildlife so they may be released back into the wild. Their new 27-acre site includes a state-of-the-art animal care facility as well as sophisticated enclosures, allowing them to care for–and successfully release–more injured and orphaned animals.
