Daughters of the American Revolution honors two South Lake Tahoe students

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. - The Lake Tahoe Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) has announced the high school senior recipients of the DAR Good Citizen Award for 2022-2023.
The South Tahoe High School recipient is Kalea Paine and the Mt. Tallac High School recipient is Ava Etchells. Chosen by school administrative staff, both young women are true representatives of the qualities of a DAR Good Citizen. Students must show the qualities of dependability, service, leadership and patriotism to be chosen. Both young women are positive, motivated and wonderful examples of great students. Kalea and Ava will each receive an honorarium, a certificate, a pin, and a U.S. flag that has been flown over the US Capitol.
