Body of missing El Dorado Hills woman found

EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - The El Dorado Hills woman missing since Valentine's Day was found deceased on Wednesday afternoon.

On February 20, 2019, at about 4:30 p.m., the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office (EDSO) was dispatched to a report of an unresponsive female in a vehicle at a local church parking lot. Fire and medical personnel responded and declared the woman deceased upon their arrival.

When EDSO Deputies arrived, they recognized the vehicle as belonging to a woman who had been reported as missing last week, Brooke Harris.

EDSO Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to conduct the death investigation. Brooke has been positively identified and next of kin notifications have been completed.

Cause of death is under investigation and at this time there is no evidence of foul play.

The 49-year-old woman was last seen by her daughter on the evening of February 13 and last heard from on the 14th when she made a call from her cell phone to her husband.

Her phone was later found in her home where there was no evidence of foul play at the residence.

Security cameras at Red Hawk Casino in Shingle Springs observed Brooke, apparently alone, and her vehicle later in the day on the 14th around 4:30 p.m.
